AccessFest on November 7 (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at D.H. Hill Jr. Library

Join accessibility practitioners from all over campus for AccessFest — a day-long, drop-in event designed to help NC State faculty and instructors improve digital course accessibility. This is not a workshop with formal instruction — it’s a practical, come-and-go opportunity to work on your own materials in a supportive environment with help from DELTA, the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO), the Libraries and members of the NC State Accessibility Collaborative (NCStAC).

Bring any materials you’d like to remediate: documents, PDFs, slide decks, your Moodle space, websites, multimedia or other course assets. Accessibility experts will be available throughout the day to answer questions, provide guidance and help you address specific issues in your materials.

To get the most out of your time, we recommend (but do not require) completing the Digital Accessibility Basics course (about 30 minutes, self-paced and online) before attending.

AccessFest is your opportunity to work directly with experts to learn digital accessibility best practices and make your course materials accessible to all learners. As a bonus, participants will be entered into raffles throughout the day — including the Apple AirPods 4 grand prize raffle. This free event is open to all NC State faculty and instructors and offers a welcoming, collaborative environment to learn and grow.

Full directions to the Multimedia Seminar Center in D.H. Hill Jr. Library are available on the NC State University Calendar: calendar.ncsu.edu/event/accessfest-2025.
